DiCarlo Effort Spun Out at Iowa

NEWTON, IA. (April 21, 2008) – The Great Clips Team had big plans in place for the running of the ARCA/REMAX Series Prairie Meadows 250 at Iowa Speedway. Stringer Motorsports had unveiled the change to Toyota power, Great Clips, Inc. brought in a huge crowd from their corporate offices in Minneapolis, MN. Everything was in place for the slumping team to turn things around. Unfortunately the only thing that was turned around was DiCarlo as she raced into turn one.

With yet another weekend of rain and no practice or qualifying, Gabi started the race in the 15th spot. The lack of practice showed early in the race as DiCarlo was forced to drop back in the pack to wait for a chance to make changes to the ill handling racer. DiCarlo was then collected up by another competitor and what was suppose to be a big day soured as she struggled to finish the race in 26th with a broken transmission.

Gabi and the Great Clips Racing Team will see they can change their luck this Friday with a visit to the Kansas Speedway and the running of the Kansas Lottery 150 Grand.
