- Codemasters sponsoring Kimmel at
Pocono: On the verge of missing his first race in 12
years, nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel pulled a
rabbit out of his hat. The Clarksville, Indiana driver signed a
one-race sponsorship with Codemasters' Grid for this Saturday's Pocono
200 at Pocono Raceway. "We're very grateful for Codemasters," said
Kimmel. "Had it not been for them, we would not be at Pocono." Kimmel,
who won nine national titles with longtime car owner Larry Clement,
left the Clement-owned 46 car at the end of the 2007 season to start
his own Kimmel Racing team with the number 44. However, sponsorship
didn't pan out and Kimmel found himself in the struggle mode. "We've
been very fortunate. Ford has stepped up and provided some equipment
and help, but we still need a sponsor to get us down the road. We've

just need a title sponsor to see our season through." (Kimmel PR)

plan on going for it, it`s all I can do". Every panel on the car is for
